The Town of Carefree invites the community to the 15th annual Veterans Day Celebration on Monday, November 11, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion.
This event honors veterans through inspiring stories and reflections, including those from U.S. Army Master Sergeant David Allwine, a Vietnam veteran and former POW, and U.S. Marine Corps Captain Sophie Ripa, who will share how her interviews with veterans shaped her life.
Highlights include patriotic music from Cactus Shadows High School’s Annalyn Abraham, the Carolyn Eynon Singers, and The Main Event Swing Band, with a moving conclusion of The Last Post and TAPS on responding bugles.
Before or after the program, take a moment at the Veterans Memorial in the Carefree Desert Gardens to pay your respects to all the veterans who have served.
