Experience the magic of the holiday season in Carefree! Join your neighbors and friends around the 20-foot Christmas tree by the Veterans Memorial for festive cheer, music, and the annual tree-lighting countdown led by Mayor John Crane at 5:20 p.m. Start the evening with holiday carols led by local choir Joyful Sounds.
After the tree lighting, stroll over to the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion for live performances while you grab free hot cocoa and find your concert seats by the Jubilate Conservatory of Music, Desert Hills Presbyterian Church Handbells and Youth Saxophone Quartet. From 6 - 7 p.m. enjoy the annual Christmas Concert, featuring local singers organized by Kevin Glenn, the Desert Cactus Kickers dance troupe, and the POP (Performing Outreach Project) dance group.
