It has been 25 years since September 11, 2001, and we invite our community to come together to honor the lives lost, remember those who risked their lives to save others and reflect on the lasting impact of that day.
Join us on Friday, September 11 at 6 p.m. at the Town Council Chambers for Together We Remember: 25 Years Later, a special community gathering centered on remembrance, reflection and connection.
The evening will feature stories from World Trade Center survivor Bob Jenkins, along with an opportunity for attendees to share and reflect on their own memories of 9/11. Guests can also take part in a community memory board created to help preserve our shared history.
Guests are encouraged to bring photographs, newspaper clippings or other items from September 11 to contribute to the memory board. Attendees will also be invited to write their own memories and reflections on provided cards. Selected materials will be brought together into a commemorative display that will later be framed and displayed in the Town Council Chambers.
This special evening is an opportunity to remember those we lost, honor the courage and sacrifice shown by so many on September 11, and come together as a community to ensure the memories of that day are never forgotten.
