Enjoy a constellation tour and get hands-on with telescopes!
You’re invited to step into the wonder of the cosmos at Carefree Under the Stars, a family-friendly stargazing event on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 7–9 p.m. in the Our Lady of Joy Church parking lot.
In partnership with Focus Astronomy Outreach, guests can explore the night sky through professional telescopes, with the special highlight of the evening being the chance to see planets, stars, and even the moon up close. Astronomy experts will guide guests through the constellations, answer questions, and share fascinating insights about galaxies and deep-space wonders. A mobile meteorite exhibit will also offer an exciting look at pieces of the cosmos up close.
Come early for pre-event activities hosted by Desert Foothills Land Trust, then settle in for an unforgettable evening of discovery. BYOC—Bring Your Own Chair! You’re also welcome to bring binoculars from home and learn how to continue exploring the night sky on your own.
