Join the Town of Carefree on Tuesday, November 11, from 3–5 p.m. at the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion for a meaningful afternoon honoring the bravery and dedication of our nation’s veterans.
This year’s Annual Veterans Day Celebration features keynote speaker Commander Martin Sepulveda, U.S. Navy Reserve (Ret.), who served in Desert Storm, the Kosovo Air Campaign, four combat tours in Iraq, and one in Afghanistan. Also participating is Jacob Wampfler, U.S. Army veteran and student–teacher liaison for the Imprints of Honor program (formerly the Veterans Heritage Project), sharing how local students preserve veterans’ stories through personal interviews.
The event will include performances by the Main Event Swing Band, Olivia Nicosia performing the Star-Spangled Banner, and a stirring finale of The Last Post and TAPS played on responding bugles.
Guests are invited to enjoy complimentary coffee served by the Kiwanis Club of Carefree, and the Town extends its gratitude to APS for sponsoring this beloved community event.
Come together to honor the legacy, courage, and sacrifice of our veterans.
Before or after the program, take a moment at the Veterans Memorial in the Carefree Desert Gardens to pay your respects to all the veterans who have served.
